Finally shot one for the first time

I went to a local range where for a mere 8 bucks, I got to caress an XD 45 for an entire hour.

I bought a box of 50 and 4 half size targets which are supposed to be at 10 feet to simulate a human body at 20 feet.

I disregarded that calculation and put the half size to 21 feet. Which should simulate a human body at 45ish feet.

I loaded 13x3 and the last was 11x1.

My first target was entirely in the COM area, but not a perfect score. My last target was entirely within the two innermost rings.

My conclusion. I have NEVER shot that good with my Glock or my SiG during my first experience. This gun is suprisingly accurate and makes me lethal to 45 feet. It doesnt bunch up my fingers like my G23 does.

Now I just have to figure out a way to get my wife to agree to let me throw some money at it

Glad you got to shoot it

I did not get to shoot one before buying but like you I find my XD-45 Service to be a really good shooting handgun. And like your G23 mine gives my fingers a banging also. Hope you get your wife to agree that you really need this new handgun.
