Magazine rattling

I just received my XD 45 ACP Tactical today and I have noticed that one of my magazines rattles when loaded. I have already taken it apart and cleaned, but it still ratlles. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

there have a been a couple of posts about this. Many says that their other brand of guns do this also.

I did not have it with my MM.

I do have it with my 45ACP.

Somebody said it's round 8 that slides back and forth, for what its worth.

I avoid it by not running 13 rounds, just 12 in the mag, no noise.

That happens to one of my magazines as well and it came up a while ago in this thread:

I found that the smacking the butt of the mag solution worked for me. Sometimes it takes a few trys though.

Just shoot it. That will fix the problem.

I heard if you just put in bullets 1 thru 7, then 9 thru 13 there's no rattle.

I was just at the range today, and neither mag was doing it anymore. Give it time.

Patience grasshopper patience

Not a chance. I tried it. That empty space creates a rattle too.

Please note that shooting the magazine will only solve the problem if you shoot it right where round number 8 resides.

Yes. One of my mags rattle also. I believe it's something we're just gonna have to deal with. You can only hope it will go away on it's own.
