XD 45 Tactical VS Glock 21C

Today I had the opportunity to compare these fine pieces of art. Im not a seasoned shooter, I am a beginner but I know what is easy and what is difficult. Ive heard some talk on the forum about the difference between these two, and many have never shot a 21C so here is my two cents.

Accuracy- with the Glock 21 I was all over the place, and it kicks like a mule. I had a lot tighter groupings with the XD and it had less recoil than my 40SC.

As far as weight, they seemed about even.

Now, heres the rub, I could not, repeat could not get more than 10 rounds in the 21Cs mag. I could get all 13 in the XD w/o the use of the mag loader.

The XD was a joy to shoot and Ill be lookin to get one in my future, but dont just take my word for it. Try 'em out yourself. Down with Glock, Long Live Springfield!

The first .45 auto I ever shot was the G21. I liked the round, but not the gun (grip too big, wrong angle, etc). The XD45 is my .45 dream come true

I'm probably going to acquire an XD sooner or later; however, I put a hundred rounds or so through my G21 this afternoon. Seems to me that you might need to work on your grip and stance a little, as I find the G21 to be about the softest-shooting .45ACP I ever shot. Of course, I haven't fired an XD45 yet, so I don't really know how it handles recoil.

.45ACP typically isn't much of a recoiler in any configuration.
