Ok, I may be crazy but..........
I've been bitten by the XD45 bug like most everyone else here. It's been background on my PC since it was posted on SA's website. I did a lot of thinking and online shopping this weekend and I'm still torn between whether I NEED an XD45 or do I just WANT an XD45.
The pro is: firepower/stopping power. That is undebateable. The con is: 1.) I already have two XDs, one being a nice CCW. 2.) Cost of ammo. 45acp sure as heck ain't cheap to shoot and I'm not into loading my own. I love my XD9. It's cheap and fun to shoot. My XD40sc will "get er done", should God forbid, I need to drop the hammer on someone to defend life and limb. So the question is: Do I really NEED the XD45? Ain't really a question of cash. Dunno, you guys convince me either way.

When I was looking at mine the guy next to me gave some good advice, "You can never have too many .45 autos."

Because the 45 recoil feels like getting by a pillow rather than the jab from Larry Holmes when shooting the 40.
I really do not mind the 40 or the 357 SIG, but there is a noticable differnce. The 45 round is the nicest round I have ever shot and I might actually be dangerous with the 45 were with the 357 SIG I would just make alot of noise and kick up dust. |

Dhunter, You'll be glad you did. Out of the 17 firearms I own, the XD-45 is my favorite! I also have the XD-40SC which I love, but the XD-45 is butter! Ditto on the terms for your XD-9. I need to complete my XD collection.
