I called Springfield and ordered 2 additional magazines for my XD45 - that was in late January. At the time of order I was told that the "next batch" of XD45 mags were due in (and for release) in 2 weeks.

I just called Customer Service at Springfield this morning, and was informed that the factory has made the decision to not release "extra" mags now until the END OF MARCH (minimum).

Springfield's justification for this "rationing" is that "all available XD45 magazines are being used in the pistol packs to meet demand".

Nice excuse, but bull$hit... if you want to increase the popularity of a pistol, sell us the extra mags so we can show the gun off at an action pistol match. TRY shooting a match with less than 3 (or 4, or 5) magazines!

Come on, Springfield, I know you already have our money for the guns, but let loose of spare mags for those of us that want to go out and COMPETE WITH IT!

You could go buy another XD45 and you'd get two more mags! What's not to like about that!

FINALLY got my two extra mags ordered in January.

They arrived Tuesday (3/21) with a very apologetic note form Customer Service.

Money has been taken out of my account so I should get them next week.
