milt sparks holster opinion?

in the search for a IWB hoslter for my new .45, i found this...

Since its introduction in 1990, the model EX has set the standard of comfort for inside the waistband type holsters.
The EX was the first IWB holster to offer an interchangeable belt loop system, an original Milt Sparks Holsters design concept. A holster functions best when fitted to the belt that will carry the handgun. By ordering additional belt loops you have the versatility of using the same holster properly fitted to a variety of belts from 1", to 1 3/4" in width.
The EX sets the gun deeper in the waistband when compared to our standard Summer Special, and places the metal reinforced mouth directly beneath the belt where it does the most good. Above the mouth of the holster, and between you and the gun, a leather extension provides protection from safeties and keeps you from re-holstering your shirt.

EX - smooth side out. $80
EX-RSO -rough side out. $80
EX-H -horsehide. $90
EX-HS -horse, shark trim. $105
EXL -extra loop. (specify width) $8
EXL-SH -extra loop, shark. $18.50

anyone own a product from these folks and i understand its a made to order situation? actual delivery time v. what they say on the website?

I have an Executive's Companion for 1911 Govt and it is indeed very comfortable to wear. It is also extremely well made, I have had it over 3 years and it shows very little wear. I didn't order it, I actually stumbled across it in a gun shop in Prescott, AZ and bought it on the spot. I currently have a SS-2 on order from them for a 3" S&W K frame. The letter they sent confitming the order said 10 to 16 weeks. I called them this week and was told it is now somewhere in the shop being made, so it should ship within 1 to 3 weeks, which would put it right at 16 weeks at the outside.

If you poke around on the net looking for holster opinions, you will always find that Milt Sparks is in the top 5 or even top 3 makers out there.

If you're in a hurry there are a couple of stocking dealers that stock a few of the more popular models for some guns. I kinda doubt they have any fro XDs . One is here http://www.lightningarms.com/products.htm . The catch is you'll pay 20 or 30 bucks more than ordering direct from Milt Sparks.

870, 'don't want to thread jack but check out the Tucker IWB line. I have the Texas Heritage (for my 1911 Commander) and love it. 'Be my choice and quicker turnaround time than the MS. I plan to order the Tucker Answer for my XD45ACP. Have heard great things about it.
