galco holster question
moving up from a SA XD .40 sub compact to the new .45 and while my new gun fits the old IWB don hume holster, this leather piece offers no cant and i'm having a problem with the frame butt printing...
i've found a holster i really like http://www.usgalco.com/ViewMorePic.asp?ProductSKU=RG212 but they only list the holster to fit the SA 1911 style here's another holster i like, same problem http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterT3.asp...56&CatalogID=7 only designed for the 1911 style SA your opinions on if the XD style will fit the 1911 holster? i really like the holsters without the more involved tuckable double clip designs i see out there... if i can find the right holster with a cant, i'll be 100% ready to CCW this slightly bigger handgun |

A 1911 is thinner than an XD, so the holster will fit. Milt Sparks might have a holster that would work for you. The XD45acp fits into holsters made for the XD40. Other good places to look are Tucker gunleather and (if you like kydex) Comp-Tac.

Doubt the 1911 style will fit the XD45. There are lots of holsters which have a good forward cant for concealing the XD45. I use a FIST #7 kydex made for an XD40 service model which has a changeable cant,
http://www.fist-inc.com/holsters/k1/K7.htm Do a search on the forum, there has been lots of holster talk and several leather & Kydex holsters which will work with an extreme forward cant.

Galco has several holsters that are made for the XD service models ranging from the Fletch to the Miami Classic. They sent me an email that they had tried the 45ACP in several of their lines and they fit. I have a Fletch and my 9 and 45ACP both fit fine. Good holsters. Try the Skyops SKY440 for IWB and it fits XD's.
