I don't have one these guns yet - is there anything in the owners manual warning about shooting lead bullets?

I thought the XD's had a polygonal rifling? Is that considered a traditional rifling? Reason i ask is thisparticular subject came up in discussion while hanging out @ my local gun shop and my buddy there said NOT to shoot lead bulets thru it, cant really remember the reasoning behind his answer at this time tho.

Glock's & HK's and probably others have polygonal rifling, XD's are traditional.
