Thanks,

There was/is a problem with .400 Cor-Bon in doublestack mags, at least in Glock doublestack mags. Don't know if that'll deter anybody from making XD45 barrels in .400 Cor-Bon or not.

If it's a workable conversion, I'd think that all the major barrel manufacturers would be producing them very soon.

???? I have a 400 Corbon barrel that I use in two different Glock 21 pistols, no problems at all. The barrel is several years old. I also have a 400 Corbon barrel for use in 45 ACP 1911s: I bought it used several years ago, also no problems. Hardly anyone makes them because the round is not very popular.

The last catalog that I saw that listed Federal barrels still had them for Glock 21 and 30 pistols.

Snake-eater: Can only speak from my personal experience and that of a bunch of others who've posted problems with .400 Cor-Bon feeding from doublestack mags. You weren't, by any chance, using 10-rd. mags with your G21? Also had similar problems with a G30. I have had no problems with feeding .400 Cor-Bon from 1911 single-stack mags.

10 rounders, 13 rounders, and 13 rounders with +2 extensions. Maybe I'm lucky

Snake: What brand conversion barrel are you using? I even tried a Glock factory .400 Cor-Bon barrel, with the same lousy results. FWIW, the factory barrel had serious relief work on the chamber, apparently trying to fix the problems I've mentioned.

EFK is in the process of building a 400 Cor-Bon for the XD. It will take them a few months to get it into the marketplace.

Could be that the XD's design will make that conversion reliable. If somebody could make a reliable 10mm conversion barrel for the XD45, that'd be even more interesting to me. Whooops. Guess somebody'll have to make a 10mm XD first, huh?

Federal. Bought it years ago from a catalog, don't remember whose. They are sometimes listed in Shotgun News. Cost less than $100.00.
Only caveat is that brass, if you are reloading or forming your own, must be well sized at the base, Federal barrel chambers are tight.

I'm using a Federal conversion barrel in my G30. Absolutely won't feed reliably from anything except 10-rd. G21 mags. I've tried NFML and FML 13-rd. G21 mags and 9&10 G30 mags, with no success. The sizing of the base has nothing to do with the problems that I've experienced. The rounds are nose-diving in the mags, as there's no support to keep them from doing so. I've tried several different followers, extra-power springs, etc. JR, of Lonewolf Distributors, has the same experience with the doublestack mags as I have.
