Why Croatia?
What's the story behind the Made in Croatia deal on the XD45?
Thank you. |

The XD is made in Croatia, and every XD before now has said "Made in Croatia" or mentioned Croatia on it.
I suppose it's like giving props to the Croats...SA not claiming all the responsibility like they do with their 1911's...and XD's now.

I know what you're thinking, but this is not some kind of "outsourcing American jobs to Croatia" kind of deal.
The pistol is a Croatian design, originally developed and still manufactured solely by a Croatian company. Springfield Armory owns the rights to brand and sell the pistol in the United States. |
