gldP01, it has nothing to do with the gun. Its the in the mags.

I finally got to shoot it today for the first time in an IDPA match and really put some rounds through the mags, and I found that just taking the full mag with 13 and slamming the basepad on your palms a few times WITHOUT pressing down on the top round actually works better. You can actually hear the rounds shifting nice and snug in there. Then after the rattle is gone, slam the back side into your palm so you shift all the rounds back.

Re: part of the time

[quote="gldP01"]Slapping the mag on the back side only works part of the time. Walking around and moving tends to undo it. But...

I have to ask, how do you walk around? Is it more of a skip or prance?

I actually prance myself.............

The only reason

The only reason I asked is because I can't shake my ass hard enough to get a sound to come out of the mags while the gun is in my holster. If I jump up and down or try my best prance or skip, I make more noise than the rattle.

Yes I ACTUALLY TESTED IT. My wife thought it was the start of one of my famous strip teases.

I have tried the slam technique and after a full day, it rattles (when I shake the pistol by hand). It sounds as if some are worse than others.

You should listen to the CZ SP-01 mags with 18 rounds of 9mm in them. They are much worse.
