Night Sights for the XD45ACP

I know we all have a ton of choices out there for night sights for our "other" XD's. But will these same options work on the new XD45ACP? I thought the new XD was just a tiny bit larger in all dimensions....including the slide.

......or am I just all FUBAR'd tonight? Maybe I just need another beer!

I have talked to Meprolight, Ameriglo, PT Night Sight and SA and they all say all XDs take the same sights. I just installed a set of Ameriglo green/yellow (made with Tijicon capsules) model XD-193 and they fit. It took a little filing (sharpening stone), but they fit. The originals are in very tightly and take some muscle to get out.

SA custom will install Tijicon sights on your slide for $95 + $8.95 return postage.

Truglo TFOs for me. Meprolights are great - got them on other guns but the Truglos are fantastic for these old baby boomer eyes of mine.

Surely you jest

No, I have a very good professional gunsmith (former armorer for a large Metro police dept) within a 15 minute drive that does virtually all of my gunsmithing work. He is one of the few that I trust to do the job right. CobraCoating of the slide and #4 carry trigger were done by Tripp and Canyon Creek respectively. As for the nifty tube grip, it was meticulously and professinally cut and installed by yours truly.

I think that shirley sounds like a plan! Go for it.
