A little over 1k rounds through mine, never been bitten by the grip. 4 different 13rd mags tested on this. I normally carry the 10rd mag as it disappears nicely under the right t-shirt, but I'll switch out to the 13rd ones when full-time sweatshirt weather rolls around (and mix in the XDm for good measure).

Not so much with my 45C but my 9SC mags seem a little "looser" as far as the gap from the sleeve to the grip and has nipped me a couple times.

I found cheap easy fix though. Take about 1" long piece of electrical tape, then cut it lenghtwise so you have two strips. Push the sleeve up the mag and then put the tape on the side of the mag at the bottom where it would be covered up by the sleeve. Silde the sleeve down to where it hits the tape then put the mag in the gun press the mag in till it squishes the sleeve down on to the tape and the mag clicks home and locks in. You may have to give it a little extra push to relieve tension on the mag release so it will still drop free when empty.

After doing this my extened mags feel more solid and no pinch.

I was initially a little concerned about that too when I first got my compact. I only pinched myself once while checking fit and dry firing. But when I went to the range I had no issues. Matter of fact, I didn't even think about it and had a great time.

negative on the pinching and my own custom grip chop. I have done some comp shooting since the grip chop.

I have never been pinched or had any issues with my XD45C.

No issues. Never pinched. Can see how it might happen, but serious injury would be hard to imagine. Considering that my 13 rounders are my SHTF mags, I doubt I will be distracted by a little mag wiggle (1/64th of an inch) while fighting off miscreants.

The only time I've had an issue with pinching is when I'm quickly inserting a mag. The first thing I did after a trip or to to the range was to take the adapter off. I have no use for it and it only pinches my finger and in turn slows down the reload. There really is no need for the adapter unless you want a cleaner look with out some steel hanging out of the grip.

I've been pinched on several occasions - generally when doing rapid fire drills.

When firing or inserting a new mag?

Pitch the sleeves...then you can't get pinched.
