First time out with my XD 45 ACP
I just picked up my first XD on Friday - 5" Tactical Model in 45 ACP.
I love the way it fits my hand and I think the trigger is perfect for a HD Type weapon. It is also damn accurate. I chewed a hole in the target about the size of a pop can at 12 yards with some handloads, just trying to make the thing choke. It never did until I stuffed in some light target stuff that doesn't cycle in my SIG 220 either. My only complaint is the polished stainless steel mags - grabbing those things is like trying to hold onto a wet bar of soap. I am going to give them a 400 grit Wet/Dry scrub down to give them a little more bite in the hand. I must say I am a convert and my other 45's are probably stuck in the safe for awhile. 5Shot |

Every time I take mine to the range I am more and more impressed. I have over 500 rounds of wolf 230 gr through it and 50 230 gr Ranger SXT. It is faultless so far and a pleasure to shoot!

Is it wrong that I almost bought some ammo yesterday and I dont even have the gun yet?? I'm just waiting on my FFL dealer to get them in |
