FNG Checking in
I consider myself fortunate to have found an XD 45acp here in the Colorado Springs area. They are flying off the shelf.
I had an XD compact once-upon-a-time and went back to the Glock 19. I in time transitioned back to the 1911 my prefered carry weapon. My concern was the capacity being too low if I am ever an onsite responer to a multiple Tango attack against the helpless and innocents. Like in my church. Current training information suggests that an attach will encompass 2-4 men making a forced entry (like SWAT) with extreme violence of action. Video shows good muzzle control and good target discrimination. They even traing with their brothers facing the elephant while a team enters and shoots live. So I was looking for a 45 acp with more capacity. The G21 is way too big for me . Then I found about the XD 45 ACP. I tried one and knew the CCO was OTD and the XD was coming into the stable. WOW.. I am impressed. It is a super weapon and i now understand why they are in short supply today. I would like to thank those who provide excellent input and allowing me to partake of the great information and ideas. Richard ODA 7 |

Welcome to the forum. The XD45ACP is really catching on, all over the country. You're correct, they don't stay on the shelf for too long to they
I compared the feel of the G21 to my XD45ACP on my last trip to the range (didn't shoot the G21 this time, just compared how they felt, size, weight, etc). The difference was simply amazing. I loved the G21 the first time I shot it, it was my first time shooting a .45ACP. Now the G21 felt like I was holding a brick next to the XD45. I've been waiting for this XD45 for a long time....
