To be truthful the front sight on my xd-40 is a little goofy. When you look down the gun you can see that it is not perfectly parallel to the notch of the rear sight. Not much, but you can see it. It does not bother me enough to go and have some after market sights put on. It may help my shooting, but I doubt it. I think my problems are all about trigger control.

FWIW, I've fired over 1000 rounds thru my XD, of which approx 750 rounds have been fired without any cleaning. Not a single problem. None. Period. It works every time, without fail. If I do my part , I can still consistantly hit a water bottle at 100'. Other than the slight trigger creep, I have absolutely no complaints.
