XD .45 Kit

I had a chance to handle the XD .45acp and check out the accessory kit. The pistol, as many have stated, is very nice. The free extras are a different story. I wouldn't want the holster and mag holder even if they are free. I would give them away or throw them in the garbage. The good news is that I had a Blackhawk Serpa holster on hand for a .40 XD. The .45 fit the Serpa perfectly. I think this gun is going to really boost XD sales.

Yeh, kind of agree about the Gear Package, although the mag holder could come in handy at the range. I don't carry OWB, guess that's why the extras don't do much for me.

Having said that, I think you are correct about the XD sales. Lots of folks, law enforcement, and maybe even the military (if it passes their tests), are sure going to like these new XD-45ACPs. I know we do

No crap about the xd tupperware. I do love the mag reloader/assist though. My "block" reload assist just wouldn't work for the ACP. The mag holder may not be a total and complete loss, but I sure would have preferred a paddle.

Gear Package

I too agree on the gear package. When I got my XD40 I had a devil of a time loading the last few rounds in the magazines, so when I saw the XD45ACP came with a mag loader I thought hooray. Well, I found I could load the 45 mags easily, even with my long-ago busted thumb. I thought, OK, I can use the loader on my 40 caliber mags. The damn loader doesn't work on my 40 mags though. So ... sh*t.
