XD 45 Holsters

Be advised. Not all holsters that fit the XD 9mm/40 will work properly for the .45. Any of the Don Hume Leather holster with thumb breaks will not work properly.

I was one of the early buyers of the .45 (by luck). It is absolutely the best and safest pistol I have ever had. I could not be more happy with it!!! I even when out and bought an XDSC 9mm so it would have company. Like that as well. Both are very accurate.

Sorry, I digress. Just wanted you all to know, so you don't waste your dollars. I had seen that any holster that was good for a 9mm or 40 would fit the 45. That seems to be inaccurate.

Would love to hear what holsters (off the shelf) do work well. Big brother needs some proper clothes.

Ross Gun Leather

Ross Model 9 belt slide fits my 45acp fine. It holds the gun high and against the body. It conceals very well.

I'd like to hear more too!

I would really like to find a holster that conceals my new XD 45 well in plain clothes. I use a Fobus now, but I would realy prefer a holster that rides a little higher and tighter.

XD45 Holsters

The FIST #1KB I got for my XD40SC fits "like a glove" with my XD45 (of course there's a little muzzle hanging out the bottom).

Galco Matrix fits like a glove; I tried a Safariland 6280 duty holster, and it also worked for me. I thought the SLS hood would not fit, but it was fine. I also tried it in an Uncle Mike's kydex; I just wanted to see if it fit, and it does.

Hi all i'm new here and looking to get myself an XD45 ACP as well, and was just wondering has anyone come across a good JIT or IWB holster that does fit the 45 well? Thanks a lot

John R.

P.S. Gary i've seen that quote in your signature before, it's a good quote but unfortunatly Andy Rooney didn't say it. Just thought i'd give you a heads up

Galco Matrix works well as does their Fletch model with both XD-9 and XD-45ACP.

For all day carry, a gun the size and weight of the XD45 (fully loaded) would seem better suited to IWB carry, pants belt and waistband help anchor things. Certainly better for concealability as well. My choice would be either the Tucker Texas Heritage or the Tucker Answer. Wide design and adjustable Kydex clips help balance things out so you don't feel you have a rock dangling from your side. Having said that, people have different tolerances and different needs. For me an IWB makes more sense with the XD45. Below is the Tucker IWB Answer.

Does anyone know if the Galco Silhouette High Ride for the XD 40 will work with the .45 ACP?
