Just checked another dealer in my area and he wants $560 for the one he has .

I think I'll take the $525 and be happy.

Welcome to the forum. Once you have to pay shipping and transfer fees buying off a web site, $525 isn't that bad.
Enjoy the XD!

I paid just over $500 for my XD45. It was marked at $475. Sales tax here in Texas rolled it to $514 and some change.

Supporting a local dealer by paying an extra $20 is just fine, when they're not supporting their customers by ripping people off with MSRP plus tax, that's when its time to look elsewhere. You scratch my back with good prices, I'll scratch yours by purchasing it.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm not made of money and if I can do a little travel or wait on FedEx to deliver my gun to save $75 or $100, screw the local guy then.

Petre,

Where in Wisconsin are you? I'm down in the Kenosha area, and was just in West Allis at the Shooter's Shop yesterday. They have one in their case for $549; I paid $529 for mine at Jalensky's in Kenosha. So far I've put just over 300 rounds through mine with no problems whatsoever, and the more I shoot it, the better I get.

I let our firearms instructor (a die-hard Glock fan) shoot it, and he was so impressed, he said he was going to check with his financial advisor (wife) to see about getting one of his own.

It's the same as gas gouging at the pumps during a gasoline shortage.

Hey XD Fan ... I'm up in West Bend and mine is coming from Midwest Shooters Supply. $525 from them seems to be the best deal in town. Gander Mountain said they haven't heard they would get them anytime soon . Usually when they do get guns in you can count on 10-15% off minimum ... but I don't want to wait til the middle of summer.
