New XD 45ACP

I sold my Colt 1911 this past Sat. and bought the XD 45 the same day. As t'was said in Dances with Wolves: Good trade Lieutenant . I have found it to be absolutely reliable and very accurate. I shoot better with this than I do my XD 9, XD 40 or Ruger P94. It runs neck in neck with my Hi-Power, CZ 75BD and CZ40P. I would love to be able to take it with me when I deploy to Afghanistan next month. Springfield did a great job.

Godspeed ch46drgunner. Many thanks for your sacrifice and service to our country. Kick some serious butt while you're over there and be safe. We look forward to hearing from you when you come home!

Glad you enjoy it. You should post up a "range" report from over there

I'd like to think I could remember who I left it with, but I'm 56 and am not sure if I could trust myself to remember your name. Thanks for the offer. If I am able to get it in-country, I'll be sure to let you know how it performs. Thanks for the support.

Getting into the AOR will not be a problem, but getting it back home will be a major issue. Command kind of looked the other way during OIF 1, but they have since cracked down. Just some advice from someone who has deployed for two of the last three years, but dont do it, its not worth your career/retirement. And remember, when over there and in doubt, call for the -64's.

Well done. I'd like to take mine to Iraq.

I'll take heed to your advice Gunpilot. Thanks for what you've been doing for our country. I take it you're an Apache driver? I was in C Trp, 2/17th Cav, Scout Platoon, 73-75. Best unit I was in during my 38 years in uniform.
