I am here at Campbell, and know quite a few of those 2/17 guys. They are all nuts. Yes, I am a 64 driver, and recently flew pink teams in Mosul with 1/17 and 1/10. I think all of those scout guys are a few sandwiches short of a picnic. Funny gun story: The Scout wepaons team was up and chasing a car, the scout guys fired a warning burst with M4, and when he went to close his armor door, he triggered his mag release, and it fell to the street 50 feet below. After the ground guys came and picked up the insurgents, they went back and landed in the middle of the road, in the middle of the city, to pick up the damn magazine! Kooks, the whole bunch of them, I love 'em.
