I found an XD45 ACP at a local gun store today - looking foward to holding it to see if I could stand the added grip size.

What a surprise - I honestly couldn't feel the difference between my XD40 Service grip and the XD45 ACP grip. I tried to even imagine that there was a difference - but still couldn't feel it.

Now I wonder if I will like the way it shoots.

You may already know this, but want to be sure: If you're a Michigan resident, I recommend that you consider getting your CPL. Michigan CPL holders don't have to get a permit. Plus - If you get your CPL, then you'll be one more added to the growing ranks of Michigan CPL holders. (I have to think that the politicians notice this number.)

Wayne County does have a reputation for not being the best for CCW applicants.
