It feels like a 9mm, not a 13+1 .45

That and the option of buying one with a thumb safety was there and that's the one I now own and carry.

Aftermarket barrels in .400 Cor Bon and Arredondo +3 floorplates also figured into the decision.

Three words, One. Ragged. Hole. First time I ever shot an XD 45 I put ten rounds into one ragged hole at 10yds. I had to have one.

Well, I had a bunch of money to spend, and I went to Sportsmans WH and I said " I need a .45 and I don't want a glock"

The counter kid handed me my xd-45 4 inch and told me that it was the best handgun of the last year, and I liked the feel of it and I trusted springfield for quality.

I have not been dissapointed. I will be buried with my .45.

I wanted a reliable .45 and after reading about SA I was convinced. Then I found my .45 at a gun show BARELY used for $400. SOLD!

I got an XD because I didn't want a Glock and it felt awesome in my hand.

It was a debate between .40 and .45, I got the .45 because I didn't want to tell people I "only got the .40"

It's hard to argue with the confidence and comfort factor. There are a lot of quality 45 cal. handguns on the market. I've owned and shot many of them. When you put an XD in your hand and realize how well it feels, points, and shoots, there's no question. It's easy to feel confident and comfortable with an XD.

I was looking between the G21sf or the xd45. The G21sf was still to big for my small sized hands. The xd45 fit perfectly. It's comforting to know that I have a .45 for home defense.

I shot a friend's XD45 Service. The gun fit my hand really well, felt great when fired, and was very accurate. The XD has a great reputation for being very reliable. I also like the safety features built into the XD. I purchased the XD45C - the shorter grip for concealment and the bonus extension mag sealed the deal.
