Not trying to hijack your thread stogie but how do you like your Ultra compact v10? I used to have one and I hated it other then it being a very good looking gun.

Love the V10 UC. I did have to send it back to Springfield when I got it because it would not feed Corbon 185 gr +P JHPs but they did a great job of turning it into an ultra reliable weapon (for free).

The ports do reduce muzzle flip but also make it deafening if fired without earplugs. Also, the blast of gasses from the ports can do bad things to you in a CQB situation. Risk vs. benefit of being able to reduce time between aimed shots.

For carry I'm actually thinking about getting a non-ported barrel just so I won't be temporarily deaf should I ever need to use it.
