Hi All,
My XD-40 Subcompact serial number is US 479XXX. I purchased mine used about two years ago at a local gun show. It came with the extra extended mag, night sights but no box and XD gear. It must be an early model when they had problems with the finish. I had a problem with the slide locking back during firing. I call Springfield Armory and they replaced the short magazine at no charge. That was the problem. They have excellent customer service. I am very happy with my XD-40 and will have it for a very long time.
