Another Idea!

nitestand pictures by junkmansj - Photobucket
hook came from the hardware store Covered with a piece of clear Vinyl tubing
The Pin is a short piece of Rubber hose with a 2" screw through it

Thumbs down duh

you accidently pull the trigger or have a ND, and you could blow up the gun if it is still on that rig......... I see it a unnecessary and dangerous.

I completely agree...
If I can manage to get a positive grip on the gun, depress the grip safety, disengage the thumb safety, and still pull the trigger before lifting the gun the 1" required to clear the dowell, I deserve to blow up my gun!

Not Kept Chambered! only takes a second to rack the Slide (and that sound adds Psych Value)
