Thanks for the heads up... but that $500 start price is a tad too expensive for my blood. My local shop knows I'm in the market, so they're keeping an eye out for me. I was able to pick up my 686 used, in great condition, for $345, and a great like-new Model 10 nickel, with pinned barrel, for only $329. I'd like to get that Model 19 in that same general $$ neighborhood.

You should easily be able to pick up a Model 19 for that...my LGS has a 4" model 66 for $329...if I wasn't all het up on buying EBR's right now, it'd be mine...

But here's another thought for you that is tempting me as well: S&W 610.
It can chamber 10mm OR .40 S&W which would be nice if you already have a .40
Can read about it's accuracy here: Smith & Wesson Brings Back the 10mm Model 610 Revolver

wow, i didnt know that either! GREAT SUCCESS! im stocked up rather nicely on .40 cal ammo, so this might be something id be more interested in over a 357/38 wheelie. thanks for the info! /victory
