For pure fun, it doesn't get much better than this.
Had a great time out at my gun club on Monday, put some rounds through the New Vaquero. I just love this thing.
Who else owns one?

Hi Amsdorf-
I have a New Vaquero also, 45LC with second cylinder in 45ACP. You are right, these things are a blast to shoot. Mine is blued with a 5-1/2" barrel.
I love my SA's!

I don't have a Vaq yet, but I do love the Blackhawks...
I'll probably add another Super Blackhawk to the family before the Vaquero, but damnit, just can't go wrong with a Ruger revolver.
You need to get some nice leather for it now!

Have on old model Vaquero, 5" barrel in .45LC, a matched pair of New Vaqueros, 5", in .357 mag, and a limited edition old model 3" birds head that Ruger sold as "The Last Cowboy", complete with gold plating on the cylinder and backstrap. Everybody loves shooting these guns.
Now you need a replica 1873 saddle ring carbine and an external hammer coach gun, just in case the Clanton boys show up at the front door. It just wouldn't be sporting to pull a Glock or an 870 on those boys.
