Your missing the point. It's not about what caliber has killed the most people, it's about what caliber can get the job done the fastest so that you don't give your attacker a chance to kill you. The .22 is not up to that.

He meant .357 caliber round balls "buckshot" coming out of the .410 judge.

Dude, nobody is putting down useful guns like the RSS. I've had mine for over 20 years. It's something else entirely to consider it (or a .410 revolver) a viable self defense handgun.

English isn't your first language, is it? I'm not saying that to disrespect you, but as a possible explanation as to why you don't understand that he was talking about the buckshot in the .410 cartridge (even though I already explained it to you and it was clear in his post).

It took kennedy 26 hours to die after he was shot. Brady survived. Reagan didn't die until 20-some years later.
Those were really poor examples if you wanted to support your case.
Sure, some people die after being shot by a .22, but it's often not immediate. If I am in a position that I need to shoot someone, it's because I need them to stop whatever they are doing right now, not because I generally disapprove of their lifestyle and hope that they stop living in that manner at some point in the future.

And that proves... what?
RFK was shot point blank in the back of the head, Brady was shot in the head and lived, Reagan was shot in the chest and lived. Reagan didn't even know he was shot. We're talking self defense situations where you are reacting to a threat. A threat who has the advantage, not ambush style shootings.

A rock is a viable defense weapon if it's all you have but I'm not going to go out and get a Taurus rock just because the Taurus makes cool commercials of the rock exploding watermelons. There are much better choices when it comes to self defense. That is unless you're being attacked by watermelons.

In the right set of circumstances, a pair of sunglasses, a book, and an ashtray could be a viable self defense weapon. In most circumstances, though, they wouldn't. Much like a .22 or .25 or .410 caliber handgun. Sure, the planets may align occasionally and a bad guy may be stopped by seeing a .22 revolver, but I wouldn't bet my life on it, or the life of anybody in my family or my friends.
Please don't make your point to people who don't know any better. You may lead them astray.

Follow up shots with such a heavy caliber are not very fast and serious risk of over penetrations to boot.

To those that don't know any better and are wooed by the commercials, I guess it does.

For home personal defense or for carry I would never choose .454, heck I wouldn't even choose a .44 mag or a .357 mag. Follow up shots are too slow and unlike the movies, more than likely you will have more than half the rounds fired miss you target. I can get much more round on target with a service pistol caliber than any mag. With that sem smooth barrel the accuracy is not going to be very good at a distance either.
Hey you buy and use what you want but the majority of knowledgeable pistol user know that the Judge is good for. Just read the posts.
