Best Handgun Deals
A friend just called me asking for advice on his first handgun.
He's got a very tight budget. He was looking for something in the $300 price range. He was looking for something in 9mm, but seemed open to other calibers.
I did some searching and found quite a few deals that are pretty close to his budget, but not exact.
Can you help me by posting any deals that you know of (come on don't be stingy...

Nothing new to post, but I'd second either the CZ-82 or Bulgarian Mak for your friend. The designs are proven, ammo is plentiful and cheap, and reliability is good. The Rock Island 1911's aren't bad either, but for the sub-$300 price point these two would be my picks.

Check Summit Gun Broker in MO.
That guy usually has some decent pistols in the 300 dollar range. Police trade in Smiths, Berettas, Glocks and many nice revolvers, too.
Right now, he has some nice stainless Smith 40s for under 300 bucks. Ruger and Smith 38Spl revolvers are also way under 300 bucks.
Any of those beat a Makarov or Taurus.

Cool thanks for the input. I talked to him today and I'm glad he didn't jump on a gun yesterday when he was at Cabelas.
He was looking at a Kel-Tec P11 and I told him that he can find a lot of good deals if he's patient and looks around.
Oh and I don't know if everyone knows but you can submit gun deals to gun-deals.com too.

Prices look decent, has anybody purchased from them?? Any issues or are the pistols pretty beat up from being a duty pistol??

I was going to suggest the 92F and 92FS that J&G Sales had, but I looked and it does not look as though they have any more. They do have 96G's for 450 though... hmmm
