Tried to keep it simple. This is my first real attempt at a gaming console. I've purchased a PS1 and a PS2 for my daughter but I never really had time to play. So now that she's moved out I purchased a PS3 for myself. At 44 getting used to a controller is a bit of a challenge. I purchased SOCOM Confrontation as my first "real" game I've been goofing with some demos trying to get used to the controller. SOCOM for a first game could be a mistake then again maybe not but it had the most interest for what was available. I would like to try this with someone that's not a total stranger and would be willing to laugh their butt off at me while I try to get the hang of this. I'm doing the update thing right now. So I thought I could post this while I was waiting. Who's willing to help a noob? I'm going to add all you guys to my list hopefully this will help me know who's from XDTalk.

Is there a way XDTalk can have there own briefing room, game, clan or whatever it's called. I looked through the manual thinking I was about to get started when it said I needed to update. Had some communications issues but it seems to be going now. Sorry for the blah blah thought a little back history would help.

Little-ten is my main acct and E-Sho86 is my other. i mostly play cod waw online, but i just picked up cod4 yesterday. never been a fan of cod until i picked up WAW, but these games are quite addictive.

I don't have SOCOM, but as for the clan we do have one we're using.

Since you set your clan tag in-game, you have to do this for each game. If you're on COD4 a small group of us has started with 'SAXD' as our clan tag. Feel free to join in.

both are very good. if you're into shooters then you'll like either one.
