As long as it's not another freakin' WWII game...
I'd like to see a well thought out FPS that takes place in the future. Not like the year 10,000 or whatever...just 50-100 years. Maybe hire a couple of good sci-fi writers who can design realistic and reasonable weapons systems for that time date. Seems most "futuristic" FSP's I've played lately seem like some 12 year old was designing it.

it will also NOT be made by infinity ward like cod, cod2, and cod4. it will instead be made by treyarch who made cod3, what a waste and i will not waste my time with this one. rumor has it cod6 is going to be a vietnam war game. it should be good.
activision likes to release a cod every year, so they have two designers making their cod games. |

Why can't we just let the WWII game genre die already? How many games have been created based on WWII? I understand that was one helluva of a war but come on lets get with the times. which would you rather have? A bolt action springfield M1903 or the Barrett M82 .50 cal, or even a AR-15 or Ak-47 versus a Mauser or Springfield M1 Garand? I am picking the Barrett, AR and AK. I guess I will be playing COD4 for a good time to come.

My pre-order has been in for a month now.
>Wouldn't it seem like they'd stay with the modern warfare setting and Infinity Ward? No, as COD has it's roots in WWII and there's still a lot to explore there. Tho' Nam would be a welcomed theater also. Rumor is that IW will be taking back the reins with COD6 for good.
