Anybody know which game for the xbox is similar to the "defend the beach head" game found in video arcades? The one where you sit and man a .50 caliber gun and repel tanks/planes/copters/troops?

I need this game to unwind after a long day of driving and multiple road rage incidents

call of duty 4 is what you need my friend. Simply the best.

If you've got a 360 with a Live account, you can download arcade knock-off games for free (or maybe like $5). I don't know if they have exactly what you want, but I've played a few side scrolling shooters.

If you can afford it, COD 4 is the best military shooter out now. That and Rainbow Six Las Vegas 2. I'm looking forward to Grand Theft Auto 4 which is coming out on the 29th of this month.

You best bet for the game you are talking about (I have it also) is the PC.

If you want a shooter for the XBOX (assuming 360) then COD4 is the shiz. I don't think I've ever had more fun on a shooter on the XBOX except for maybe the game BLACK on the original XBOX but the no multi on that game kinda killed it. If you have the orig. XBOX check out the game BLACK. It's a good game to turn off the brain and just shoot stuff and blow stuff up.

What's the street price for COD4?

About 30 or 40 bucks used right now I think they are still selling pretty high new. But you need the 360 to play it or you can get the PC ver.

PC version is SOOOO much better then 360 for COD4. That goes for most FPS, actually. Keyboard + mouse > controller.

I downloaded Beach Head 2000 from Digital Fusion and got to play once. When I tried to start a new game, the only links that work are "register license" or "buy it" buttons

The "play" button doesn't do jack

Why the h3ll do they tell me I can play unlimited to level 3 and then don't let me play after the first round(rhetorical ?)

They just added to my stress level

The funny thing is that the game is only $15 but I'm too lazy to get out the card - they should have paypal set up like normal people

OK, I blew off some steam, don't need the game now

All depends on what you are used to. I used to be a die hard FPS PC only guy but after playing console games for a while using the controllers I'm just as comfortable either way. Console controllers defiantly take more skill to use than just the mouse and keyboard setup.

I broke my had early last year and had to learn how to play HALO2 southpaw. I was sucking at first but after about an hr of re teaching myself I was able to smoke guys as fast as they spawned.

When I got the cast cut off it took me a little while to relearn how to play right handed again.
