PS3 MOD. Question

Someone told me that you could buy something for a PS3 that would allow you to store games (from disk) on the hard drive. This way, you'll not have to put in a disk to play. From what I understand, you can buy, rent or borrow a game, then simply download the game to the PS3.

Question 1) Is this something that can be done?

Question 2) How does one go about doing this?

Question 3) Does this reduce the quality of the graphics?

I haven't seen anything like this yet. But for some of the games there would be almost no point. Because you cannot store demo/games on external HDDs and the limit to internal drives for the PS3 are up to like 250GB (maybe).

So if you have a game that takes up 25GB of data that means with the HDD upgrade you can only store about 9 games...that is taking into account that you have the OS that takes up some space and you lose some in the actual space vs what they say it is.

So from what I can see, it would be worth it.

LOL...Yea, I've done some more research, and he was full of it. It looks like Sony is gonna make these hackers really work for it this time. At first, I didn't think there would be anything wrong with it, but after more thought, it's not something I wanna do anyway.
