Gamers...I need help
I know nothing about games...Xbox (version ?), Playstation2 (or 3 or ?), or Wii.
I've been remodeling my basement and am just about done. We've got a high def LCD TV. I have 2 girls who are 13 & 11. My oldest wants a Wii (guitar hero, hanna montana game, etc). Youngest wants XBox. Both is not an option. So please educate me. I have hardly ever played video games and know nothing about today's game choices. Any advice would certainly be welcome. Thanks. |

I'm not a big "gamer", but I went with the PS3, simply because it also doubles as a Blu-Ray player.
The Wii is a good option, because it gives them plenty of exersize while playing. |

I know for a fact Guitar Hero can be played on Xbox and im sure hannah montona can be as well. Finding a wii can be a hard thing. But xboxs have their share of problems. Depends on if they are hands on, wanna bowl, and do all the movements of a wii. Or if they want to play some more serious games with better graphics. I've had both and they both have their ups and downs. But if the wii is only for those two games then get an xbox.

With the wii you are definatly doing more playing and less sitting. I liked the wii cause youre moving, doing the motions that are being played. Like other people have said a ps3 would be the best choice right now for the gaming/blu ray combo. But if you wont use Blu Ray the system probably over powers their want to play easy fun games.

Can you play DVDs in any of these game boxes? It sounds like Blue Ray is the path where things are going. But I think it's a bit overkill for the kid area today.
