Anyone play F.E.A.R.??

My fiancee bought me this game a while ago, but my inboard video couldn't handle it. BUT, I just installed an nVIDIA GeFORCE 5200 Ultra, and it plays now!!!

I just have to tweak some settings so it won't be so frickin' choppy when I play and look around.

Anyone else play FEAR?

And, what settings do you use to reduce choppiness?

Thanks!

I didnt have to do anything to reduce choppiness. I liked the game overall, but I thought the end was a bit lacking. I wont spoil it for you though.

Well, I had to set everything to "low" or "minimum" but it's playable now.

So far, it's OK. It's a bit weird at times. My daughter got freaked at the "flashbacks" in the beginning of the game (she was helping me w/ the keyboard commands (heal and reload)). LOL.

I do like how the game is more interactive than most shoot-em-ups. Unfortunately, its story line is very similar to other games I've played recently (Doom 3, Quake 4, etc). We'll see how it plays out.

I've played the whole series of F.E.A.R all the way through. I gotta say it's one of the creepiest games around right now. It really got my heart pumping a few times. I think the first one was the best but i'll be very anxious to get the fourth when it comes out. Probably be sometime in 2009 though.

There's bad language in the first one, too. My 8-year old was playing w/ me (managing the "medkit" and "reload" keys - our bonding time LOL), and she repeated some of the stuff the "enemies" said. I was like and told her not to repeat that.

Oh, my bad. I didn't realize there was bad language in the video game either. I'm not usually worried about the ESRB rating on my games. I also didn't know my daughter would come running over into my office whenever she hears me play video games so that she can play with me.
