Happen to anyone else?

Stopped reading discs today. I messed around and got it to work but it froze in the middle of Tiger Woods 2008 and won't read anything now. Only the stuff on the hard drive works.

Sony gave me the usual reset defaults and reformat but it didn't work so they're replacing it. I just bought it 11/11/07 too.

Well sony's customer service is pretty good so far. They have a box with a prepaid shipping label on the way. I'll send it to them and once they receive my broken console the FAQ says 3-5 business days including shipping and handling time to get the new one to me. Hopefully I'm only without it for 10 business days or so.

That sucks, sorry it happened to you. I have had my PS3 for about 5 months now, and I have not had any problems with it. I hope you get yours back quickly.

The thing sits for days without me touching it since work is so busy. Of course it breaks the day after I buy 2 new games. I never even put ghost recon 2 into the system.

I busted out the ps2 for now.
