How good is Stronghold crusader

I have been replaying Age of Empires 2 gold edition after not having any luck when I first got it. Now I actually am playing it well. I saw Stronghold Crusaders for $10 at Target. I have never played any of the series and was wondering how good it is. I really like the mid evil thing though.
