![]() All I have to say is click the pic. My laptop is old...it's a Vaio with inputs to watch and record TV on it, blah blah blah...nothing special. It's on oversized mp3 player and I watch movies on it from time to time. Use it to mix a bit and do some art work on it...other than that, internet and reading. |

still using my old packard bell 286 with the 80gb hard drive and 16 MB of ram... Been thinking of upgrading but why? It only takes me 10 minutes to get online. and since I got a new 28.8 modem I can read a thread from XD-TALK in about 8 minutes...

Holy crap!
I used to play Quake 3 Arena on my old Pentium II, which worked just fine... but I've since upgraded to: AMD Athlon XP 3000+ 512 MB RAM NVIDIA GeForce MX (on-board crap) Cable modem (I won't bore you w/ the other specs. My 'puter is primarily a CAD/GIS machine, which it excels in!).... My biggest limitation to playing some of the games that are out now is my stupid video "card" which won't play F.E.A.R., Enemy Territory (Quake Wars), etc. Anyone want to donate their older mega-video card to a good cause? Ironically, I just got a new computer at work on Monday: AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core 6000+, 2 GB RAM, mega video card, etc... but I can't play any games there!!

I built this computer case about 3 years ago completely out of plexiglass. It was pretty cool, but it got trashed after I got bored with it. I will try to post some actual images of it later.
![]() ETA: sorry this doesn't have specs but I saw some cool computers here so I thought I'd post this. |

I put this together this past July:
Antec P180B Case Antec TruePower Trio 650 PSU eVGA 680i motherboard Core2Duo E6600 (OC'd to 2.9GHz) CPU 2GB G.Skill DDR2-800 RAM eVGA GeForce 8800GTX 784MB Video Card 250GB Western Digital SATA Hard Drive 120GB Western Digital PATA Hard Drive (left over from my last PC) Sony DVD-RW drive Samsung 22" widescreen monitor + 19" 4:3 Acer monitor Pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm using Vista Business x64, and aside from the occasional hiccup, it runs like a champ. I can max out everything I've tried (even though Crysis gives it trouble at times).
