Anybody been playing Mass Effect??? It's pretty good... Action RPG... Combat is a little unbalanced at times, but everything else is great...

Great game. I'm about 14 hours into it! That and COD4 keeps me fairly busy during my free time.

I have it sitting on my TV, still in its wrapper. Hmm. If COD4 ever wears off, I'll probably open it...

It looks very cool, and I like the sandbox element (even though it's light). What would be so cool would be a completely open (sandbox) space adventure. Think Oblivion, in space. Yeah.

So far, it bores me. The combat is clunky, the power system is horribly done, and the viewpoint is like a bad version of gears.

I haven't given up on it yet, but it does not live up to the hype.

I've been on the fence on picking it up.

How does it compare to the previous Bioware games like Knights of the Old Republic? Is it similar in gameplay or is it more straight-forward action/RPG like Elder Scrolls (Oblivion)?

got it, love it, done 2 play throughs now, I roll as an Adept. it similar to KOTOR in combat, but the combat is closer to real time and it is all ranged i.e. projectile weapons. i think its one of the most enjoyable games i have ever played.

and im glad to see that Kermee is a gamer.

I think it's great, just one complaint though; I would have liked it if you could switch control between squad members to take advantage of each persons individual talents like in KOTOR I & II (for computer hacking, or cracking security locks, etc.). Without that ability your allies are pretty useless; I've yet to have them be any help in a fight.
