Anyone remember Tribes? ITS BACK!

If you're an old fart like me (you know... 30 ) you might remember a multiplayer first person shooter in the mid to late 90's called 'Tribes'. I remember as a teenager playing that game for a solid 2 years straight. I always wished they would bring it back out. Well it turns out THEY HAVE! It's called "Tribes Ascend", and it is very similar to the original.

If you have never played Tribes the best way I can describe it is 'Halo multiplayer with a jetpack'. All the players have jetpacks which allow them to get several hundred meters into the air. Couple this with 'skiing' (basically you can slide down hills as if you were on wheels) and you have some really awesome moves.

The best part is ITS FREE! You can pay for upgraded weapons and different player classes but everything can be unlocked with XP that you earn from playing the game. If you are into first person shooters I highly recommend giving it a try.

OK I remember this. I was pretty good as a sniper. Fun game!

Had tons of fun in all the classes, light sniper, med engineer setting up turrets and a big fat heavy skiing and lobbing mortars into the enemy bases.

Tribes Ascend is too much fun. By far the fastest paced shooter out there!
