You would fit right in!

I didnt read all the responses but if you havent picked your MOS or Corp yet see if you can meet the requirement for EOD. Got to Welcome to Fort Bragg and on the right hand side fo the page is the link for EOD recruiting. Great bonuses and you almost always get your choice of duty stations. If you are going Guard then there is a unit in PA. Do a little research. If you need a recruiter with their head screwed on straight contact one of the EOD guys from the Bragg website.

Are you talking about for the Guard or for the Marines? As far as the Guard, it's just been a regular recruiter.

I did talk to an officer recruiter for the Marines. He told me if I wanted to go the route of enlisted, he couldn't even help me that I'd have to talk to someone else. I talked to SSgt Bliss in Wilkes-Barre and said I would need to talk to Cpt. Johnassee at some point.

JT,

Do it! I almost enlisted when I was 19 and backed out at the last minute, which is the one thing I regret most in life. I'm too old to join now, or I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I haven't bumped this in a while, but I decided to go to OCC Class 199 in October for the Marine Corps. I should find out by the end of the month whether or not I've been selected. First MOS choice, which I'll get guaranteed as long as I graduate MOS school, is 0203 Ground Intelligence.

It's SgtWKPII you will never catch...the guy with close to 60 posts per day...the overall leader of the post count, slugger6 will be tough to catch as well.
