"Peace is Our Profession"

Lordy, do I remember that slogan
each and every time I passed through
the gates at Bergstrom Air Force Base,
Austin, TX right after it was adopted
as SACs official logo. Right on a big
ol' billboard. Real phyc stuff.

Somewhat reminiscing and being a thread
hog, me apologize.

Welcome there little Chair nasty. J/K. I have a question. Why does the AF have some many damn stripes. It's like y'all are trying to out do every body.

Long forgotten conversation in the Pentagon:
AF Gen 1: Well the USMC and Army use 3 stripes for their sergeant.
AF Gen 2: Well I guess we better use 1 or 2 more then and call them a Staff Sergeant.
AFG1: Yeah sounds good
AFG2: Uh Huh

We have the SGT.MAJ of the Marine Corps but that's considered to be an E-9 rank.
