Wow, there's some good stuff there. I liked the one about duality, emphasizing the nature of a Soldier as a savior/protector and a hunter/killer. The guy had wings of an angel on one side and of a dragon or bat on the other. Very cool concept that plays into one I'm developing.

I'd been working on a concept for a Spartan/Hoplite influenced piece that ties together my family and the words "E tan, e epi tas," ("This or upon this."), and then 300 came out and it's suddenly pop culture. Pisses me off, but I suppose if it doesn't change the meaning of the work to me, then it's still good to go.

Meanwhile, I have this one, left over from my days as an 18-year old and touched up 6 months ago by a good friend.

I've been wanting to get inked for quite some time. I have a couple different ideas but the wife doesn't approve of the whole tattoo thing. I'm thinking of starting with a EGA to begin with and then when I finally get my Aviator Wings add the wing part. So basically the Aviator Wings but the shield and anchor will be replaced with the Eagle, Globe and Anchor instead. Probably just stick with some sort of black outline between the shoulder blades so it isn't seen when in uniform or PT gear.
