Lighten the Load
My day was going painfully slow, and then, I got this great survey to help out my fellow Marines. If you haven't got this yet go ahead and take it...
The purpose of this "lighten the load" survey is to gain insight into a Marine's ability to execute combat tasks with varying combat loads and to identify key factors and decisions that contribute to the heavier combat loads Marines often carry today. The target audience for this survey is all Marines who have served at least one tour in OIF or OEF. This "lighten the load" effort is part of the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) Commanding General’s overall effort to refine components of the Commandant’s Distributed Operations concept. Other lighten the load efforts include MCWL’s live force load experiments and publication of the MCWL load planning X-files. The overall goal of the Commanding General MCWL's "lighten the load" effort is to identify opportunities to reduce the combat load of Marines. Results from the survey will be posted on the MCCLL web site at https://www.mccll.usmc.milfor access once data is analyzed. Your input is valuable and will help other Marines benefit from your experiences. If you need assistance in completing the survey, please contact Mr. William Richardson, COM 703.432.1279, DSN 312.378.1279, william.t.richardson@usmc.mil. I can't help but a good thing to hear they are legitimately looking at.

hmm assault pack vs combat pack vs mission pack, the official packing list is not always what you want to take with you, granted is the bare minimun, but we always add more.
I remember jumping in Honduras my rucksack weighted 130 lbs, and 80 lbp of chute, I got out of the C-130 side ways man I was glad to take the chute of, but I humped the 130 for a while, my happy days. Marines of course would have carry me and my load all day asking for more Jose Last edited by dincote : 12-10-2007 at 08:35 AM. |
