Wife needs a Daypack for IRAQ

Need some advice. My wife is getting deployed to Iraq in Jan. She'll be on Al Asad the whole time shouldn't be any trips outside the wire or anything. She just needs something that she could throw a days or so worth of "stuff" since the barracks are a pretty good clip away from the work areas.

I want to get her something that will last and it has to be avaliable in "Coyote" tan so I was leaning towards Maxpedition they have some good looking bags but only a few aren't the "gearslinger" types. She needs one that is actually like a pack/backpack.

I was thinking about these they aren't to bad price wise

She should have an issue desert bag...or atleast they used to do it :0

Out of those 3 I would pick the 3rd one. I like how its expandable.

In the military, clothing and sales store at the PX they sell these black bags, I think they are called "bug out bags" or maybe thats just the name us Army guys gave it. They are great, Ive owned 2. She will have access to the PX where she is going.

Her unit is a Reserve unit (she's a full time reservist) and she told me they are issuing them the old ALICE packs for the deployment. Yeah she will have access to the PX but the PX on Carswell JRB trys to cover all the braches and they don't exactly have a lot of "field" gear like I have access to out here in the LeJeune area. There are some packs here locally I'm looking at but I think she will be getting a suprise in the mail in a week or two. I'm just going to get her one of the Maxpedition Day packs but am having a hard time deciding which one.

HAHAHAHA.

Nice pack but I've got bills to pay

Eagle industries makes this and some other neat ones. I have a Becker Patrol Pack. Had it for 20 years now. Still use it all summer and a fair amount in the winter.

I got a Molle from majorsurplus.com which I like but would NOT recommend for heavy use. Zippers are thick but not accurate and plastic and the cords they are attached to are so-so. Seams are single stitched. The brand is Voodoo. Inexpensive, but not high quality.

Max is good stuff and durable, take a look at Camelbak hydration packs, depends on how much stuff she wants to pack plus you got hydration.

PM me if you want a Max bag, I have a buddy that sells them and will see about getting you a deal. shipping my be a little slow but prices are good.

PS. tell her thanks for doing her turn in the sandbox.
