getting to land in Houston was quite the honor with 1/23..... I think 5k people were there to great us roughly 80% didn't know anyone getting off the plane.

Alas, the R&R flights into DFW ended earlier this year - Atlanta's Heartsfield is not the only base where the R&R flights come into.

But yes, when the flights were coming in, you had to try real hard to get in on the list of folks standing there forming the hero's walk - there was always a waiting list to be able to participate.
