Yeah, because including a Bible verse in a class on morality (given by chaplains, no less) is the exact same thing as congress making a law respecting the establishment of religion.
Wow, those chaplains were practically telling the AF officers, "Convert or die."

You are correct but im a way its the federal govt showing and pushing christian based teachings in the context of killing for you country. Using religion as a tool to convince people to kill is wrong. Honestly in our current wars which are not needed is it right to use this tool to help people cope with killing for the wrong reason.

Oh yeah, I see exactly where you're coming from. I'm sure these military officers that the chaplains are teaching all joined the military being morally opposed to war and killing of any sort whatsoever, so the chaplains have to twist Scripture to convince them that war is good.
BTW, I'm just curious...How would you teach a balanced historical perspective on morality without mentioning God?

Morality existed before our Christian bible. Society sets up rules to function properly and not all come from religion. Also the rules you read come from man there isn't proof they came from God. So morality did come from man alone.
