I just want to know;
Why is my pay, as a deployed Soldier going to be cut in half or all together? When the welfare social leeches are still getting full checks? Or other socially accepted help. So now I have to worry about, is my family going to have food? Gas money? Basic household goods.......
Yes, I should have money in the bank. But that is not the point, I have been paying heavily on Student loans and such. If I would have even thought about this happening it wouldn't be a big deal. But when you sign with the Military you are told not cuts, not lay-off and retirement in 20.
It's all so retarded, it is like kids fighting on the playground and neither side is willing to give an inch.

yea it is retarted...im not a soldier but both of my roommates are, and im guessing the no checks thing isnt just for active soldiers....so rent and all bills for this month will be handled by me alone...and i only have 100 bucks in the bank as of now...thanks government!!!
i know it wouldnt happen...but i still say the military should go on strike...wonder what message that would send washington? the people that give them their "power" and leisure to do crap like this (military), have been forsaken and taken for granted. i bet they would get their butts in gear if the military said, no pay no work. (we would be royaly f***** but hypothetically it would probably work lol.)

This is a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. Shut down the govt and force a passing of the bill to cut a small percent of what needs to be cut while hoping to not bankrupt the country before the budget really gets under control. Or continue to let the spending run amok and virtually guarantee bankruptcy evern earlier. Meanwhile, someone will get hurt. Our supposedly recovering economy, which I don't believe is recovering, will also take a hit. Politicians will go on TV to cry about their side. But the bottom line is that every entitlement program we have that these jerks cry that we can't cut will end up totally defunded when the economy collapses, you can somewhat cushion the free loaders or drop them totally but we can't continue to support them.
And all this bickering while I just saw a news story that we funded $200,000,000 to Sesame Street so they can put on this show in PAKISTAN. REALLY??

I guess what I'm still trying to figure out is why, with democratic majority in both the house and senate, we are even at this point. Are democrats that indecisive that they couldn't even agree on a budget when they make up a large majority of both the house and senate? And also why they are now playing the blame game (like usual) and blaming the GOP for being "uncooperative".

Are you sure? I didnt think essential agencies, such as aviation, were going to be affected.

The deadline is midnight tonight. From what I've read the only issue still looking to be resolved is planned parenthood funding....kind of sad if they can't negotiate on one issue in 12 hours.

Yep, but Obamacare got their $102 Billion! Horse $hit if you ask me.
Free loaders are killing this country and the People that they vote into power are making it happen. Get the votes however you can!
Good for you, time to start stocking more ammo and MRE's
