Can't belive Bragg doesn't and off-post is usually incredibly high. I have made some good contacts and go prepared and try to support the local economy when prudent.

In Spring Lake, NC it's 30-100% higher than retail. UTG quadrails are 200$. lol. I live on the coast now and the prices are a lot more bearable.

My son bought a Taurus PT-809 today at the Ft. Belvoir PX. The Tauruses were on sale for 10 percent off. Rugers go on sale Sunday. His 809 came with a nice case, two 17 round magazines, mag loader and bore brush. He got it out the door for a little over 370 dollars.

Took it to the range after taking it home for a quick clean and lube job. Put 100 rounds through it without any problems. It was very accurate at 10 and 15 yards. Except for the traffic to and from Belvoir and to the range in Stafford, it was a great day.

Is it really cheaper on base? Last year I was at the px at Paris Island and checked out some prices. Couldn't buy there, but they were in line with my local privately owned gun shop. I can order stuff from them and end up paying about the same as if I bought from Bud's (just an example because they have really good prices) after adding in transfer fees and shipping.

In case you didn't know Sharpshooters in Lorton (Newington) is only 5 min. from Belvoir! I shoot there all the time!

Hello Rick, my recent three purchases, counting my son's, have been at MCX Quantico, Ft. Belvoir, and at Quantico Tactical, a civilian dealer. The Quantico exchange actually sells their guns for slightly more than the other stores. Quantico Tactical is in line with the other dealers but give a good military/LEO discount. Ft. Belvoir may be selling for less because they have just started selling firearms and are generating interest. It is working as the place was packed a couple of days ago.

Prices at the local gun stores in the area are pretty high compared to most online deals. I am glad to see the reasonable prices (and no sales tax) that soldiers and retirees can now get here.
It will be interesting to see if the LGS lower thier prices to compete with the exchange or offer a bigger discount to active duty and retired military. Military folks are not paid enough IMO and it sucks to see them being taken to the cleaners.
On a related note the whole area around the exchange has been renovated and expanded. It is a really nice indoor/outdoor mall with restaurants, shopping and a movie theater. Good to see our tax dollars spent on those that deserve it.
What ar the requirements for purchase other then the obvious PX privilege?

Is the Texas CHL any help?

They do a background check after you fill out the standard paperwork. Does not matter if you have a CHL or not.
